Mission Statement
KlicKNet Productions is a growing independent production banner that originated in 2023 and was founded and launched by Kwame Alexander, a Queens, New York based filmmaker, actor, and content creator. The teen comedy short film "NickCam," written, directed, and edited by Kwame, became the first project to be produced under the banner of KlicKNet Productions from September 2022 to May 2023.
Prior to this, the KlicKNet handle was first used in 2015 as the name of a blog that focuses on posting current news events, major announcements, and original stories. In 2020, Kwame launched a YouTube Channel which later rebranded as KlicKNet in the Summer of 2022. That very same year, the "KlicKNet" brand further expanded its presence on social media through Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Threads. In 2024, "KlicKNet" put up a new account on TikTok in hopes of gaining a voice on its platform.
The idea behind the logo for KlicKNet Productions comes from Kwame's strong inspirations and influence of Children's TV Networks, namely Nickelodeon. The orange lightbulb is the same design from a Nickelodeon Productions end credit seen from 1996 – 2008, but the white Nickelodeon text in the middle is replaced with the lime green word KlicKNet. Since 2024, the KlicKNet Productions logo has been seen at the end of every episode of FakeTV Box – a scripted topical show with comedic commentary, reviews and reactions, created and hosted by Kwame.
The main purpose of KlicKNet Productions is to not only become a place that create its own stories and content in the social media and entertainment industry, but also a place of networking and collaborating. While the company often writes comedy-centered scripts for its YouTube series and short narrative films, it looks to write and produce in other genres in the future such as: drama, action, fantasy, suspense and horror. In addition, it looks to collaborate with other creatives by offering them services in film production, content creating, social media management, and more, so that they too can see their stories and content come to life on screen.
